Recipe type: Cookies
Serves: 15
Ingredients
  • 1 stick melted butter ( 4 ounces)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla
  • 1½ cups all purpose unbleached flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1¼ cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Beat sugars with melted butter just until combined.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla and mix to combine.
  3. Mix in dry ingredients of flour, baking soda, salt, cornstarch.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips. Feel free to add a few chocolate chunks if you like extra chocolate!
  5. Scoop cookie dough balls using about 2 Tablespoons of dough for each cookie.
  6. Cover and chill one hour or overnight.
  7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  8. Bake dough balls 8 to 10 minutes. They should be browning on the edges and slightly underbaked in the middle.
Notes
If storing in freezer, I like to scoop out the dough balls onto a cookie sheet, cover with plastic wrap, place in your freezer or fridge to set up a bit, then transfer them to ziploc bag and freeze until you are ready to bake. This way, you can bake up just a few at a time if you like.
